Items to bring along.

Below you will find a list of what we suggest to take on bord.

Working together on deck

Items to bring
Space on board the ship is limited. Do not bring unnecessary items. The ship is not built for storing suitcases, therefore pack a sea bag or an ordinary bag. You will have storing space for your personal belongings in a chest and a locker, which you share with another person.
Dirty clothes must be washed by hand.

At sea the weather might change fast, and you will take part in the daily work on board. Therefore it is important to be well prepared on beforehand.

Suggested items to bring along:
- sleeping bag + sheet and pillow case.
- (We have blankets and pillows, and you can hire bedclothes - quilt cover, sheet and pillow case - on board for € 10.)
- 1 set of working clothes and working gloves
- 1 pair of working shoes
- waterproof foul weather gear and rubber boots (sea boots)
- woollen sweater
- warm jacket , scarf and cap for night duty
- underwear, also warm underwear for cold weather
- joggingsuit - jogging shoes
- shirts, T-shirts
- shorts, swimsuit
- stockings
- toilet articles, towels
- leisure clothes, for use ashore.
- (remember that you are at sea most of the trip)

Remember valid passport for foreign ports.

You are responsible for your personal belongings, so it would be worth while labeling the items with your name. If you wear glasses have an elastic strap for them. Lost eyeglasses can ruin a trip for the owner.

Are you playing an instrument, bring it along if you so wish!

Should you bring equipment such as radios, pocket disco, mobile telephone, please respect the instructions on board regarding use. Such equipment shall not be used on duty.

Do not bring
• Weapons
• Flammable material
• Drugs or medication (except on prescription from your
doctor)

Food
All meals will be provided from the ship’s galley. Usually, we cannot carry out wishes for a special diet. Nevertheless, if anyone need special food (vegetarian /allergy) we can give a limited offer. Please, mention this through our office.

Trainees may not bring food or cook individual meals aboard the ship.

“Spending money”
Money is required for expense while travelling to and from the ship.

It is possible to buy toilet articles, chocolate, mineral water and the legal amount of alcohol and tobacco. We have also various souvenirs for sales. You may use Visa or equivalent cards.

Travel insurance
We insist that you take your own coverage for eventual accident, illness and hospitalisation.

Urgent communication
The ship maintains a regular contact with the administration office ashore. Essential personal message can be transmitted. If it should be necessary to contact you while on board, for urgent matters only, your next of kin may telephone +47 38 02 98 90/fax +47 38 02 93 34 during office hours.
